PA - Compliance and Integrity Officer - Brand New Role

We are working with a membership-based business that operates in an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment and they are looking for someone to join their team to help sharpen their focus on accountability and compliance ensuring they deliver against their legal and ethical responsibilities.

So, if you are a stickler for the details then this is the role for you, we al looking for a Compliance Officer with a good admin background that is looking to be the compliance champion in a business then APPLY NOW

Hot topic regulatory and legal compliance areas currently include:

  • Member disciplinary regulations
  • Data protection and GDPR
  • H&S – facilities & employee related
  • Safeguarding
  • Company Secretary related areas

Responsibilities are likely to include, but not limited to:

  • Monitoring the publication of regulatory and legal changes and news, and coordinating the communication and embedding of such into BS policy and process under the COO.
  • Oversight of the sport’s disciplinary case management system and processes, including responsibility for data gathering, collation, coordination, and checking of case file content.
  • Primary coordinator for GDPR related queries, including FAQs from staff and incoming DP related requests such as Subject Access and Section 29. External training will be provided to bring someone up to speed in this area.
  • Administrative oversight of H&S action plans and trackers in relation to the Head Office building.
  • Provision of support to the COO in providing a full range of company secretarial services to the business, including Board minute taking etc
  • Provision of support to the COO in relation to the org wide risk management framework.
  • Provision of support to the Executive team as required in an Administrative capacity (primarily the CEO).

Person specification

  • Ethics and compliance focused
  • Experience in hot topic areas mentioned beneficial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and reliability in relation to work quality
  • First class written and verbal communication skill
  • Appreciation of the importance of tracking cases and providing relevant data to parties who have a legitimate need to know – providing an unbiased and confidential approach to cases and non-case issues arising.
  • Ability to remain calm under potentially stressful situations
  • Confident and positive attitude – someone who sees compliance and integrity as a way of continuously improving the way we work, but not an instant blocker to change. Solution developer, not iron fist rule.
  • Risk management experience a bonus – so as to not come at this from a standing start.
